Comedy Walks Amsterdam is a young company providing exciting and entertaining city walks in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Amsterdam Comedy Walks was founded in 2017 and is made up of a team of professional, funny and enthusiastic guides. The idea to make the conventional, guided city tours more entertaining by combining it with a bit of stand-up comedy came from Erik, an improvisation comedian artist himself. The tours are now being guided by a team of various stand-up comedians.

During the 1,5-hour walking tour of Amsterdam with an experienced guide/comedian who makes the tour interesting and fun with both the history of Amsterdam and funny stories about their experiences in the city. You will get to discover the age-old centre of Amsterdam and hear how the small settlement on the banks of the River Amstel grew into this bustling and versatile metropolis. In under 90 minutes, you’ll be introduced to more than 800 years of Amsterdam history, culture and traditions.

A comedy-blended city tour

The Comedy Walk is a 1,5-hour interesting walking tour of Amsterdam where an experienced guide/comedian combines a special city walk through the beautiful city with a taste of comedy and laughter. The tour starts on the Amsterdam Spui and from there you visit many highlights of the city like the Amsterdam Museum, the old Amsterdam Orphanage, the Palace on the Dam Square where you also see the National Monument on the Dam, the Red Light District while the guide tells all kinds of fun stories and anecdotes about Amsterdam. How has Amsterdam developed from that tiny fishing settlement on the banks of the Amstel River to the unique, multicultural, tolerant and fascinating city it is today? How has the Golden Age influenced the urban development of Amsterdam and how did the world-famous canal ring come to be?
