Housed in a three-storey building, the Erotic Museum Amsterdam aims to educate visitors on the erotic past of the Netherlands and the history of prostitution in the country. The Museum houses a shop with erotica souvenirs, an exhibition on the Red Light District, a room with a wax figure of a working girl on a bike and a model of the cashier of the famous Casa Rosso Live Show Theater. Some of the main attractions are collections of erotica photographs and illustrations by John Lennon and an adult (version) projection of the animated movie “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
There is quite a lot to see at the Erotic Museum Amsterdam and if you’re a tourist who would prefer not to pay a visit to the Red Light District establishments, but still interested in knowing what it’s all about, then this Museum is the best bet for you.
