Canal Motorboats is the oldest boat rental company in Amsterdam, established in 1996. It has 5 rental locations in the city where you can rent small electric vessels with a capacity of 8 passengers. Electric rental boats

The rental boats from Canal Motorboats are all 100% electrically powered. That means that you can enjoy the experience without noise pollution or fumes. Best of all, the boats can easily be operated without a license by anyone over 18 years of age. The boats all have a steering wheel, which makes them easy to sail, even for beginners.

Rental prices

€50,- per hour, the minimum rental period is 2 hours.

Temporary discount: currently €20,- 0ff on 2-hour rentals from Monday to Friday.

Public cruises

You can now book guided public canal tours in collaboration with Canal Motorboats’s sister company, Eco Boats! Departing from Amsterdam Central Station, an open boat with a professional captain will take you on a 1-hour boat ride along the highlights of Amsterdam. Like the rental boats, the vessel used for the public cruise is also electrically powered, ensuring a comfortable cruise. To top it all off, you’ll receive a complimentary welcome drink on arrival so you can enjoy the views to the fullest.

Pivate boat tours by Canal Motorboats

If you want to go on a cruise with a larger group of people than the eight passengers that the rental boats can carry, Canal Motorboats can now accommodate you! Set sail on one of their modern, electric boats and invite up to 29 friends to join you on a fully customizable private boat tour.

• Duration of choice: 1,5 hours, 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours
