Boaty rent a Boat is a family owned boat rental company that started in 2008. They rent out small electric boats that carry up to six people per boat. You’ll find Boaty South of the city center, in the trendy ‘de Pijp’ area. The boats are moored next to the luxurious Okura Hotel. Big upside from Boaty is that they are the only company that also rents out boats with a little cover, to keep you dry from the rain. They also have open boats for sunny days.
We strongly recommend making an online reservation for your boat hire. You can imagine how fast they sell out, especially on sunny days. The company offers a money back guarantee, in case of bad weather so you have nothing to worry about.
At Boaty you can rent boats from a minimum of 3 hours. Of course you can also return the boat earlier, but we think it’s not that hard to spend 3 hours on the beautiful canals. The rates are the lowest in the morning, starting from €79,-. Check out the table below for all rates. The rental includes all you need: a free canal map, life jackets, foam seats, insurance and full batteries.
